We purchased a complete
line of STRIVE Smart Strength equipment although we
had no prior acquaintance with the company. We
chose STRIVE because in our estimation they were the
only company that offered a new and differentiating
technology for resistance training that offered
improved results for our members in quick and
interesting training sessions. We also chose STRIVE
because we felt that they were the only group that
had the understanding and ability to contribute to
our Y’s goals of improving our membership, retention
and personal training revenues.
It is rare that a
company delivers on the promises they make – yet
with STRIVE they not only met their commitment to us
– but also continue to deliver service to us –
beyond our expectations. We really feel as though
they are in partnership with us and not merely a
vendor.
STRIVE provide us with
marketing materials, concepts and direction which
has really proved to be incredibly valuable. They
provided on-site training and motivational sessions
which were superb and which got our staff and
members more enthusiastic about fitness than ever
before.
Our STRIVE room is busy
all day and absolutely mobbed during prome times.
The 14-STRIVE units received so much use that we
were forced to purchase another 12 to accommodate
the usage pressure!
The results that we
have achieved are overwhelming! Since we installed
STRIVE our membership has increased by 3500 units 24
months, our retention has gone from 72% to peak of
83% and now modulates between 78% and 80%. Our
personal training revenue increased by $40,000 the
first quarter after STRIVE arrived and has improved
from $129,000 (in 2002 before STRIVE) to over
$305,000 in 2005. These changes total to an
improvement to our bottom line of more than $800,000
a year.
